Joseph L. Messa, Jr., Aircraft Accident Injury Attorney

The founding partner of Messa & Associates, P.C., Joseph L. Messa, Jr. was born and raised in Philadelphia. A noted presenter in the legal and medical fields, as well as on local and national news broadcasts, Mr. Messa has built a firm that shares his concentration in Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Transportation Accidents, Construction, Workplace Injuries, Fire, Medical Device Drug Products Liability, and other fields of complex personal injury litigation. He began his legal education as an honors graduate of Tulane University in1984, and went on to graduate cum laude from Temple University School of Law in 1988, where he was honored with the Horace Stern Award for Excellence in Products Liability and an American Jurisprudence award for Products Liability.

Mr. Messa is a member of the Bars of the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the First, Third, and Sixth Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is also an active member of the American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyer's Association, the New Jersey Trial Lawyer's Association, and the Philadelphia, Camden, Burlington County New Jersey Bar Associations, and the Justinian society. In addition to being a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyer's Association he also serves as a Board of Director for the Philadelphia Trial Lawyer's Association.

Mr. Messa serves as a Judge Pro Tem, evaluating complex injury cases for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. He has also served as a Court appointed Committee Member in the Bone Screw Products Liability Litigation / MDL-1014, In Re: Diet Drugs / MDL-1204, and the Bridgestone Firestone Tire Litigation / MDL-1373. Mr. Messa is the author of several published articles in the field, particularly in the areas of Managed Care Liability and Hospital Acquired Infections.
